Information

Chalk and watercolour on thin yellowish paper. 31,2 × 24,2 cm (12 ¼ × 9 ½ in.). Monogrammed lower left: LvH. [3647]

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges in places with minor nicks, otherwise without tears or losses. The paper slightly time stained and, due to the artist's technique, slightly undulated as well as, overall, slightly creased. The lower right corner with fine diagonal crease marks (up to 6,2 cm); in the upper right sheet area, one faint horizontal crease mark with light surface abrasion (9 cm). At the upper edge on the left, one horizontal crease visible on the reverse (8,5 cm). At the centre of the lower edge as well as in some of the corners, miniscule mounting holes. On the reverse, slight scuff marks. Along the left edge, a white paper strip remnant and, at top and bottom of the same edge, further rests of Japan paper from former mountings
