Magazine No. 4
2026 is an anniversary year! Forty years of Grisebach — four decades in which our house has helped shape the art market. With the current issue of our magazine, we aim to make some of our history visible: in a conversation between our founder Bernd Schultz and Gero von Boehm, as well as with a look at the outstanding artworks and collections that have set benchmarks.
World records, fierce bidding wars and remarkable sales
Monday, 01 December 2025
The 2025 Winter Auctions began with the sale of the collection of Dr. Walter Bauer, which had remained hidden from the public for decades and was now entrusted to Grisebach from his estate. With the result of €1,270,000 for Paula Modersohn-Becker, a new world record was set, kicking off the auction week at Fasanenstraße with a bang.
